Yesterday morning, a friend was on the property working on our trucks while we were running errands. The friend didn’t notice Opal sleeping under the truck and backed the truck onto her, resulting in dislocating her rear right leg and causing multiple complex fractures.

The vet has given us two choices: amputation or Arthrodesis surgery to fuse the bones in her lower right hind leg together. They estimate the surgery costing between $6,500-7,500.
