Onyx is my black cat. I took her on September 24 to Spay Memphis to sterilize her. From that day until September 30 in the morning, she ate and looked good. In the afternoon of September 30, I observed her open incision spilling pus. I immediately took her back to Spay Memphis, but they told me that there were no more doctors to attend to Onyx at 2:00 pm. I decided to look for a veterinarian nearby and found Walnut Grove Animal Clinic, where they stabilized her pain and waited for results. They decided to operate on Onyx surgically. Finally, at 8:00 pm, they operated on Onyx for a hernia and controlled the infection (pus). Thank God she survived the operating room where she only had a 10% chance to survive. WGAC suggested that I take Onyx to Memphis Veterinary Specialist Emergency for intensive care during the early hours of that night since WGAC closes its doors at 9:00 pm. Onyx has been in MVSE for two nights. Today, both clinics came to the conclusion that Onyx needed a blood transfusion, which was done in the morning. In the first hours, Onyx reacted well, but this afternoon she is not recovering as expected.
In summary, I seek the help of pet lovers to be able to sustain the accounts of both clinics and, most importantly, stabilize and keep Onyx alive. Attached you can see the photographs of the receipts, which are estimated, vary, and are not accurate. We have paid $2,900 already with emergency visits and deposits. Onyx needs another blood transfusion that could cost approximately $2,000. Each visit to Memphis Veterinary Specialist Emergency costs me approximately $1,200 minimum. The account I have with Walnut Grove Animal Clinic is currently approximately $3,300, not counting the blood transfusion practiced with them today. Of those $3,300, I left a $500 deposit. Onyx needs to come and go for about 7 more days, and this is already out of my budget. I LOVE Onyx and I am doing everything within my possibilities to save her. I have 10 more cats under my responsibility and 3 dogs. That's why I ask for the generous support of my community. If you have questions about this, you can go to Walnut Grove Animal Clinic and donate directly through Onyx to the outstanding account. Thank you very much for your support and joining my pain and need. Any amount helps. God bless you all.
