Save On Your Toes: Support Our Move

Dearest friends, family, loyal customers and unwavering community,
I come to you today with the upsetting news that, after 37 years of On Your Toes providing quality customer service and products and being the epitome of a great tenant at Terrace Oaks Plaza, the newest landlord (Mr. Yasin Sadd, President of Saad Investaments Inc) and his management liaison (Mr. Mohammad Mustafa of Nationwide Realty Solutions LLC) have decided that On Your Toes is no longer "a good fit for the future plans of the center."
Unfortunately, after over a year and a half of asking for a lease or ample amount of time if a lease was not in our future, and then begging for an extension of our move out date that was then denied, On Your Toes was just told last week that we must vacate our home of 37 years by November 30th,2024.
As you all know, this is not enough time to find a new location, do any remodeling associated with a new store, pack up our current inventory, move and still provide our customers what they need during this busy Holiday/ Nutcracker/ end-of-the-year/exam season. The shortened time frame, moving and remodeling is obviously an expense that I was not calculating into my immediate budget when I took over the store less than one yer ago.
If you know me in any capacity, you know that I will not ask for help. My entire life I have prided myself on being a problem solver and I handle problems, sometimes to a fault, on my own. Unfortunately, this is a huge, unexpected expense and the ability to handle this on my own is out of my capabilities. I have no intention of closing the store's doors, but if I'm being totally honest, it's going to take a few "Hail Mary's" and the support from my amazing dance and performer community to make this move. I humbly come to you to ask for your help and financial support.
I will do everything and am trying everything within my power to continue the legacy of On Your Toes. If you want to see us continue providing a happy, memorable experience to our next generation of dancers, we would be forever grateful for your participation in any of our multiple fundraising efforts. Including this GoFund Me, donating directly in-store, donating through Venmo or Zelle, participating in any or all in-store efforts (currently, any products that are marked down or on sale go directly into our moving fund) , forfeiting your 10% coupon and most importantly, sharing this information. Please let us know if you have any other ideas for fundraising. We are open to any and all suggestions.
On Your Toes does NOT intend to close. This dance community has raised me and I know I am part of something much bigger than the confines of the walls in our current building. I know the people that I have by my side to support and strengthen me. I know and have witnessed what this amazing community and family can do. We look forward to and feel privileged for the opportunity to continue for another 37 years.
In the words of Richard Rader, my childhood dance teacher and life mentor, "I continue to love you. Now......LET'S DANCE!!!!"
