Hi, my name is Kimmy, and I’m fundraising for my dog, Nova, who recently suffered a traumatic injury. Nova shattered her femur and is in urgent need of surgery to save her leg. The procedure involves placing pins and plates to stabilize the break and allow it to heal properly.

The estimated cost of surgery is $7,000, not including the emergency visit that cost $700, or the additional expenses for pre-op and post-op care. I’ll also be traveling over 6 hours to the surgical center, staying overnight in a hotel, and missing several days of work—all of which add to the financial strain.

If I’m unable to raise the necessary funds, the only alternative for Nova is amputation. She is 6 years old, and due to her size and age, losing a leg would have a serious impact on her mobility and overall quality of life.

Right now, she’s at home with me in a lot of pain. It’s heartbreaking to see her energetic, goofy self suffer like this. Nova has been by my side through everything for the past six years. She is the sweetest, smartest, most loyal dog I’ve ever known, and she means the world to me.
