Our kitty, Nova (aka Babies), is 2 and a half years old and is full of life and energy. Her adorable meow (which still sounds like a kitten's), her affectionate personality, and very vocal self make her irresistible :)
We adopted Nova from an animal rescue a few years ago and fell in love with her immediately. She was found abandoned on the side of the road in the middle of the winter, fighting for her life. She had just started antibiotics for a serious upper respiratory infection when we brought her home, and we luckily were able to nurse the little one back to health, and she has stolen our hearts ever since! She even won over the approval of our older kitty, Luna, which was a challenge itself!
But lately, she has not been herself and raised concern with my fiancé and I. She has been overly lethargic the past couple of weeks and is not eating as much as she should. We decided to get her checked out this morning and discovered that her blood levels are extremely low, and she will unfortunately need to stay overnight at an emergency animal hospital, where she will receive a blood transfusion and continue to be monitored and have tests run.
This is absolutely heartbreaking for us, knowing Nova struggles with social anxiety, and being separated from us for an extended period of time will be very difficult for her.
We are asking for any donations towards her healing journey after her transfusion and to assist with medical bills. We are planning a wedding for next year and have many household repairs that need to be taken care of ASAP. We would do anything to help our fur babies, but sometimes with that comes costly medical/emergency needs.
Any donations for our babies would be greatly appreciated! We love you all so much and thank you for your support during this difficult time!
