Save Nova: surgery for her shattered femur

Donation protected
Please help Nova, our sweet black lab, who was hit by a car and left in the freezing cold.

Nova’s mom is a single mother of two young girls, ages 10 and 5. While mom was in the shower, her 10-year-old let Nova outside to go potty. When mom got out and realized Nova hadn’t come back inside, she immediately ran outside, calling for her in a panic.

The girls were the ones who found Nova — hiding under their mom’s parked car, bleeding badly and terrified.

Nova was rushed to Mt. Laurel Emergency Animal Hospital. Thankfully, there is no internal bleeding. However, she suffered a shattered femur. The injury is severe, and without surgery to reconstruct the leg — or possibly amputate — Nova may face euthanasia simply because her family cannot afford the cost.

We understand accidents happen. Nova is a black lab, and it was dark. What’s heartbreaking is that whoever hit her left her there, alone and injured, in the freezing cold.

Now a mother and her two little girls are devastated at the possibility of losing their beloved fur baby — not because she can’t be helped, but because the financial burden is overwhelming.

If you are able to donate, any amount would mean the world to this family and could help save Nova’s life. If you’re unable to donate, please consider sharing this fundraiser and keeping Nova in your prayers.

Thank you for your kindness, love, and support. ❤️
