Hi friends, earlier today I saw a post about a dog that was hit off 168th & stark… Unfortunately it was our family’s dog, Nook. My father in law has been just him and his baby Nooks whole life and this will be an incredible heartbreaking loss if he has to be put down all because of the weight of medical bills.

We have 6 hours to raise 6,500 for his surgery’s, I’m asking the community to pleaseee help get him back to himself either donating through this gofundme or donating to the animal hospital (listed in the picture~ Dove Lewis)

UPDATE ON NOOK: 12/31/24

Hi friends, Nook is doing well. Dove Lewis has discharged him. He is home now.

Nook was suffering internal bleeding, broken pelvis and leg, and some head injury. With medication and ongoing blood transfusions, they have removed surgery from the table FOR NOW as he has battled so hard and fought for his life and progressed this far on his own.

The transfusions are working the way they are supposed to as of now. Many follow up appointments moving forward and a close eye just incase his body takes a turn for the worst in the next couple days. He’s still very critical needing lots of visits and a close eye. He will be making way soon over to Hannah Pet Hospital to continue his care in receiving his blood transfusions and any follow up care they suggest.

*My family and I are with such full hearts that the community and all of you made this happen and saved Nooks life, it brings tears to my eyes that his story isn’t over just yet all because of the help from you all emotionally, financially & spiritually and even most importantly to the Kelly’s who took Nook into their own hands when another careless driver couldn’t even bring themselves to stop because of selfishness, who left our baby for dead & to suffer helplessly. Some people may say “he’s just a dog etc.” but to us Nook is a life saver, a protector, a companion and one of our loved ones, he means so much to us and we are forever greatful to be able to continue walking with him during this recovery and the rest of his journey down here on earth.

Lastly, I do ask that our community continues to share around the gofundme in hopes to help find the funds to continue his care as he continues to be under his transfusions and meds, in hopes that surgery stays off the table. If we don’t have enough funds to provide for the transfusions and medications ongoing, we may have a worst cost at our feet. Thank you in advanced to all of you❤️
