Save Nimrod XV232 Help a Cold War Legend to safety

Donation protected
For over 50 years, Nimrod XV232, affectionately known as “The Mighty Hunter,” has served the United Kingdom with distinction—from Cold War patrols to search and rescue missions and the Falklands conflict. Since 2010, she has been cared for by dedicated volunteers at Coventry Airport. But now, with the airport scheduled to close in 2026, XV232 faces an uncertain future—and a very real risk of being lost forever. We are racing against time to relocate this historic aircraft to a new permanent home at Manston, where she can be preserved, restored, and shared with future generations.

How You Can Help • Donate whatever you can—every pound counts • Share this campaign with aviation enthusiasts and history supporters • Help us connect with sponsors, engineers, or logistics partners.

This is our last chance to save a unique piece of British aviation history. With your help, we can ensure that Nimrod XV232 continues to inspire future generations—not as scrap, but as a living legacy.
