Hi my name is Nikea. I am a single mom of three. Two of my three children are adults and my other is 8 years old and resides with me. I am reaching out because I am in desperate need of your help and support. I am currently in court facing eviction. My property is claiming I owe them $20,000. I live in a project-based subsidy and was not recertified in 2024, which led to me being charged a market rate of $2,619 as of 11/1/2024. The end of November 2023 I had a total complete hysterectomy and was out of work until February of 2024. Unbeknownst to me I didn’t know the mental and emotional toll of having surgery would have on me. In April 2024 I went back on leave due to a change in my mental health status. In July 2024 I lost my job. I was out of work for the early part of 2024 and my income was unstable. I have not worked since, however I did utilize my time by going back to school to obtain my high school diploma. I am actively looking for a job, however I know that even with a job the amount that I allegedly owe would be nearly impossible for me to pay. Without judgment or ridicule I’m asking for your help so that me and my child do not lose our home. If you can please help In anyway I would greatly appreciate it!
