: Help Save Young Nethu Dilmith

Nethu Dilmith, an 8th-grade student from Udugama Secondary School in Galle, faces a challenge that no child should endure. Growing up without a father’s support, she has been lovingly raised by her devoted mother, Padmini. With strength and determination, Padmini has made a living by sewing clothes and going door-to-door to sell them, providing for her daughter’s needs and dreams. Yet now, fate has dealt them a cruel blow.

Nethu has recently been diagnosed with Progressive familial intrahepatic cholestasis type 3 (PFIC3). Doctors are urgently recommended surgery liver transplant in at Dr. Rele Institute & Medical Center, with an estimated cost of 12 million rupees (around $50,000). For a single mother supporting her family through sewing, this amount is unimaginable.

The kind-hearted people of Udugama have already begun collecting funds from house to house, demonstrating their unwavering support for Nethu and her family. However, they still need over a million rupees to give her a fighting chance.
