Everyone knows and loves Nelly Doyle! She is a mother, a wife, an aunt, an Oma, a sister, a daughter, a daughter inlaw, a friend, and a very hard worker! We also all know that her poor voice is disappearing day by day and can only speak ina whisper. Nelly has been fearful of going to the doctor because deep down inside she knew that something was wrong.
One day while at work, a man came up to Nelly and said that he had been watching her. She got a little nervous, but he quickly calmed her fears and told her that he was an ENT doctor. The doctor went on and told Nelly that he and his wife had noticed her lack of voice and gave her a card telling her to come to his office. Nelly thought to herself, " This is like a miracle!" And a sign that she couldn't put this off any longer. With this, Nelly nervously went to the doctor. After testing and bloodwork, the doctor gave her the news that she dreaded. She has a cancerous tumor growing on her vocal chords! The doctor gave her a good prognosis if she has surgery to remove it right away! (She may not need chemo)
Both, Rick and Nelly work hard to make ends meet. Unfortunately, this surgery is not within their budget. Nelly will be getting insurance to cover some of the surgery, which she will be having after March 1st.
I, as her sister in law, am asking for any size donation towards "Nelly's Voice" . Any amount will help!!
I love my sister in law very much, as I know most of you reading this do. The donations will be much appreciated and well used, for the surgery and recovery. Thank you all for taking the time to read Nelly's story.
