Help Save My Son Zakaria from Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy

My name is Tuqa Najm, and I am the mother of my beloved son, Zakaria Osama Hassan, who is 12 years old.

My son Zakaria is suffering from a rare and life-threatening disease called Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD). This is a progressive illness that slowly weakens and destroys all muscles in the body. Over time, it takes away the ability to walk and move, and eventually affects the heart and lungs.

Every day, I watch my child lose abilities that other children his age naturally enjoy. Despite this, he continues to face life with courage and hope. However, time is critical. According to his doctors, urgent treatment is needed as soon as possible.

By the mercy of God, there is a treatment available in the United States or in the United Arab Emirates at Al Jalila Children’s Specialty Hospital. It is a one-time gene therapy injection called Elevidys, and it offers real hope to slow or stop the progression of this disease.

Unfortunately, the cost of this treatment is extremely high, approximately $3,000,000 USD. This amount is far beyond my financial ability.

I have done everything I can, with trust in God, to support my son and ease his suffering. But I am now at a point where I cannot continue alone.

I am humbly asking for your support and kindness. I believe in God first, and then in the mercy and generosity of good people. Every donation, no matter how small, brings us closer to saving Zakaria’s life.

Zakaria is still a child who dreams of a normal life of running, playing, and living without pain like other children. With God’s will and your support, this hope can become reality.
