HELP - My Wife, Mother of 3 Year Old Son to fight Leukemia

Donation protected
Reaching out with a heavy heart and a hopeful sprit to share my Brother Amir's Story:

Our lives took an unexpected turn on April 13th.

My Wife, Sheereen, was pregnant with her second child when she began feeling unusually fatigued. We assumed it was part of the pregnancy. But after a few days of worsening symptoms, we decided to get her checked. What followed was a series of tests, and eventually, a diagnosis that none of us were prepared for — Leukemia.

Soon after the diagnosis, her pregnancy had to be surgically terminated so that treatment could begin without delay. We moved quickly, shifted hospitals, and started her treatment in Gurgaon, India. In the process, we had to leave our 3-year-old son in her home town under the care of his 64-year-old grandmother.

The bad news continued to unfold in layers. On April 17th, we were told it is AML (Acute Myeloid Leukemia), a fast-progressing type of blood cancer. By April 21st, it was classified as adverse-risk AML, which makes treatment more complex. And on April 30th, we found out that her bone marrow does not match with either of her siblings, which means we’ll now need to rely on a suitable match from the donor registry which brings in an additional cost.

This journey will likely involve multiple rounds of chemotherapy, a bone marrow transplant, emergency admissions, day care admissions, uncountable transfusions and close medical follow-up for months or even years. The emotional and financial impact of all of this will surely derail our lives.

We are obviously putting all our family's savings into her treatment, but that won't be enough. Without additional support, we are already finding ourselves making difficult choices due to financial limitations.

This campaign is a request to ensure Sheereen gets the treatment she needs and we can return to a normal life with our child, our home and family.

Your contribution, no matter how small, will make a meaningful difference. Please help us by donating, sharing this with others or even keeping her in your prayers means a world to us.

Kind Regards
