SAVE MY MOTHER FROM GUARDIANSHIP TAKEOVER

Donation protected

Dear Everyone,

I never thought I'd be in a position like this.

My mother Dorris has been forcibly taken from our home and put into a lockdown unit in an Assisted Living Facility.  This pattern and tactic towards the elderly is happening continuously throughout my home state of New Mexico.

Please read what has happened to me and my mother.

BEGINNING FACTS:

On July 29, 2019, An Attorney from a large Texas law firm, filed a petition for temporary guardianship and conservatorship of my mother, Dorris Hamilton. This was never our family plan and goes completely against my mother's wishes. There were no documents signed with this attorney.

OTHER FACTS:

The attorney wrote a petition claiming to be the lawyer representing me as the petitioner. Then in September 2019 filed another motion to withdraw from representing me (I never hired her) and began to represent my mother against me for guardianship (my mother never hired her). This Attorney sought the appointment of Guardian Service who immediately seized my mother's financial accounts, properties, and assets. The Guardian Service began throwing out her personal property and banned me from my family home, where my name is on the deed. There is a 1927 family Bible that is still unaccounted for.

 RESEARCH FACTS:

According to the Albuquerque Tribune, there have been more than 10 billion dollars of equity theft from family's residing in New Mexico. Lawyers and professional guardians use the elder-persons money to launch campaigns against the family that wants to care for their loved ones. I feel that this may be happening to me.

FACTS ABOUT DORRIS HAMILTON:

Dorris Hamilton is 92 years old. She was a civil rights pioneer. Born in extreme poverty, she left home to live with a teacher at age 12. She was the first African American woman to enroll at the University of Arkansas. She personally met Rev. Martin Luther King, Jr. who congratulated her for breaking the segregation barrier at the university.  She received her first Master's Degree at the age of 23 years old.

She has been an active member of the NAACP and Presbyterian Church for more than 5 decades. She served as Principal of Lynn Middle School in Las Cruces New Mexico for more than 20 years.  It is estimated that she has inspired more than 25,000 students and their families.

WHAT I HAVE LEARNED:

I am fighting for my family's civil rights. According to recent articles, lawyers and guardians have caused some families to go bankrupt while managing court costs. Ms. Kise Davis's family spent $50,000 in legal fees trying to wrangle her from the hands of a guardian service and lawyer.  The Gonzalez family lost their home and more than $15,000 while fighting a corporate guardian takeover. The Silva family spent more than $30,000 before their loved one died in the custody of a corporate guardian.

WHAT I NEED FROM YOU:
I have to raise money for legal fees. $20 - $50 - $100 - $500 - $1000 or whatever you can spare. My Goal is $9,500. This ordeal started 9 months ago and I've already spent 14k.

My mother has passionately expressed that she does not want to die in this facility. She has also stated clearly in court that she does not know these people and they do not know her. They are strangers.

Corporate attorneys can use their money and power to challenge the family. They can also use the elders' estate money to support their legal efforts in keeping families like mine (my mother's only child) permanently separated.

Now, with COVID19 - nursing homes that have become hot spots. Both my mother and I feel it is extremely important that she live somewhere less dangerous. I need your help to release my mother from this unfortunate guardianship. Below are articles that have me concerned about my mother's well being.
