In the heart of Costa Rica, my life changed forever. What began as a hopeful “mummy makeover” turned into a battle for survival when I developed sepsis, likely due to contaminated clinic tools. Transferred to a private hospital in Costa Rica, I faced multiple organ failures and a mere 5% chance of survival.
Through this ordeal, the power of prayer and the unwavering support of my family and friends and Gods love became my lifeline. Even as I faced the amputation of my fingers and toes, I found deep gratitude in the love and generosity surrounding me. This experience has shown me that God has a purpose for me, and I embrace this new chapter with faith Grace and resilience.
As I recover, I’m reminded of the miracles around us and the kindness that uplifts us. Despite the financial challenges of medical expenses, I’m profoundly grateful for the support I’ve received.
In this journey, I hold close the words of Isaiah 41:10: “So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”
I am currently back in a Canada and in the hospital, learning how to walk again. All donations made to help me will go toward paying the doctors and hospital in Costa Rica as well as my living expenses.
With much love,
Nicole
