Save My Life: Gaza Emergency Kidney Failure Treatment

My name is Saqr Omar Abu Sunaima from Gaza, Palestine.

I suffer from end-stage chronic kidney failure and undergo regular hemodialysis sessions. My health is deteriorating, and I urgently need a referral for treatment where appropriate care is available, including a kidney transplant if possible.

In Gaza, resources are limited, and I cannot afford travel outside of Gaza or treatment, not even accommodation or transportation. However, I need your support to cover emergency expenses to save my life.

The causes of my kidney failure include irregular blood pressure, kidney failure since birth, and kidney failure. Since the beginning of the war, we patients in Gaza have suffered from a lack of food and medicine, inadequate dialysis, and frequent displacement. We suffer from malnutrition and struggle to reach the dialysis center due to the long distance. We are forced to walk at least a kilometer to reach the dialysis center. Even after dialysis is complete, we are forced to walk at least 2 kilometers to reach the displacement camp.

We are patients in the Gaza Strip. We suffer every day. We start looking for food in the morning, but we can't find any. Then we search for water, but we can't move due to malnutrition and the lack of medicine. We also live in a tent that doesn't protect us from the summer heat or the winter cold. Our bodies are weak and we need support because dialysis doesn't leave anything in our bodies. We suffer from anemia. We suffer from unclean drinking water. We live like animals. We relieve ourselves near our sleeping areas. We want to travel abroad to emerge from darkness into the light. We want a kidney transplant so we can live a dignified life. I hope you will look with humanity, sympathize with my situation, and provide any possible assistance.
