Save my home please - facing homelessness
Donation protected
Dear Friends: This is my beautiful home. I have lived in this development for 15 years. I have tried desperately to purchase the property but am down to the wire and lacking funds. On March 8, I received a letter from the landlord that he was selling the property, and I was to vacate by May 1. On May 1, all my belongings, everything I own, will be removed from the house. I need to come up with $3,000.00. Rents are double what I was paying here. I have exhausted all avenues and have not been able to collect these funds. I am trying to purchase but have come up short with money. I have received help, but I have exhausted all avenues of obtaining more. For a one-bedroom, rents start at 1,500 plus utilities - and non will accept my pets. Buying the home would make it more cost-effective and affordable for me. I would remain in my house where I raised my grandchildren and house everything I own. Saving my home is the miracle I have been asking for. My belongings - everything I hold dear and near, my two cats, Ollie and Oddie, and my little dog Cooper who are all ten years old. Losing them is more than I can bear. My heart is broken; I know times are difficult for everyone. I am 72, had COVID and a stroke in December and have ongoing health issues. Out of fear and desperation, I am asking for help. I have beautiful friends that have provided me comfort and prayers. There comes a time when you swallow your pride and ask or beg to save what means the most to you. Please help - I will forever be grateful for your help and keeping me in my home. Thank you, love and prayers to all, Maggie
