Hi, my name is Leanna and I have 6 guinea pigs. They most likely have Tyzzer's disease. It requires antibiotics and is highly contagious between animals. I have lost 9 of my guinea pigs to it and I have 6 left. It causes depression, lethargy, poor coat, sudden death, and lesions in the liver.

I took Mocha in for an xray yesterday. It showed spots in his liver and GI stasis. Mocha died last night. I took him in for a necropsy and the vet found lesions all over his liver, his gallbladder was 10x the size it should have been, and his stomach had ruptured.

I have to throw out EVERYTHING and start over again- cages, beds, fleece, hides, toys.

I'm looking for any monetary help at all towards getting treatment for my remaining pigs (which is antibiotics) and for help to pay off the $2000 I spent trying to keep Mocha and Hershey alive and as well to pay for new items for my guinea pigs including beds, fleece, food, and critical care emergency food. I can provide vet bills for proof. Anything, even a dollar, helps.
