I never imagined I would be in this position — asking for help to save the home my grandparents built their lives in.
This home is more than walls and a mortgage.
It holds generations of care, memories, and the foundation of my family.
Right now, I am in a time-sensitive probate situation trying to legally protect the home. But I’ve run into a painful reality:
The man I knew as my grandfather — the one who raised and loved us — is not recognized legally in the way that matters now because we are not biologically related.
Because of that, I’ve faced:
Legal barriers I wasn’t prepared for
Attorneys who were dismissive or unaffordable
Delays that are putting the home at risk
I have done everything I can on my own: Working multiple jobs, budgeting carefully, and trying to save.
But every time I get close, something happens — repairs, fees, unexpected costs.
Now I need help to move forward.
My Goal: $5,000
$3,000 — to retain a probate attorney who can properly represent me
$2,000 — to register my vehicle in Kentucky and secure a small loan to begin addressing the mortgage and fees
Without legal support, I risk losing this home entirely.
My immediate village is no longer here, and while I have people who care, many are navigating their own challenges.
So I am asking — with humility and hope:
If you can give, share, or connect me to legal support, you are helping me fight to keep the last physical piece of my grandparents’ legacy.
This is not easy to ask.
But it is necessary.
Thank you for standing with me.
