A few years ago, while repairing an underground electricity cable in the street, I suffered a severe workplace accident that left me permanently disabled. I lost not only my physical strength but also my ability to provide for my family the way I once did.
Since then, my income dropped drastically. Bills and debts piled up, and despite my efforts, a court-appointed financial administrator was assigned to manage my finances. In November, my weekly living allowance was completely stopped due to low income and increased debt repayments. Overnight, we had no money for food, transportation, or basic needs.
I was even forced to sell personal belongings from my home just to buy food, but it was not enough. The stress and fear of not being able to provide for my children has been overwhelming.

Mijn naam is M R , en ik ben een ouder die dagelijks vecht om mijn kinderen de stabiliteit te bieden die ze verdienen.
Enkele jaren geleden kreeg ik een ernstig arbeidsongeval terwijl ik een elektriciteitskabel ondergronds repareerde op straat. Sindsdien ben ik blijvend beperkt en verloor ik niet alleen mijn fysieke kracht, maar ook mijn vermogen om voor mijn gezin te zorgen zoals voorheen.
Sinds dat ongeval is mijn inkomen drastisch gedaald. Rekening en schulden stapelden zich op, en ondanks mijn inspanningen werd een bewindvoerder aangesteld om mijn financiën te beheren. In november werd mijn wekelijkse leefgeld volledig stopgezet vanwege laag inkomen en hogere aflossingen. Plots hadden wij geen geld voor voedsel, vervoer of basisbehoeften.
Ik moest zelfs persoonlijke bezittingen uit mijn huis verkopen om eten te kunnen kopen, maar dat was niet genoeg. De stress en angst om mijn kinderen niet te kunnen verzorgen zijn overweldigend geweest.
