I am mohammad, currently residing in germany . I am spearheading a crucial fundraising campaign aimed at providing urgent assistance to my friend and her family, who are facing dire circumstances in Gaza, in order to facilitate their escape from the ongoing turmoil.
And this my freind talking ..
My name is Remas Abdullah, and I am reaching out to you to inform you about our precarious situation here in Gaza.
We are a family of seven: four daughters and a young boy. My sister Shymaa is a graduate with a degree in English Literature, and my sister Fedaa graduated high school with high marks, full of dreams and aspirations for university life. But the war has cruelly taken that away from her. Even I, in the ninth grade, haven't been able to continue my studies because of the war; they are even targeting educational tents. There is nowhere safe for us.
My family and I have endured the unimaginable forced to flee our home not once, but multiple times. We lost our home, I still remember the night filled with terrifying bombardment. We were forced to leave the house barefoot under heavy shelling without warning. We didn't have time to take anything with us, and after that we became homeless, lacking the most basic necessities of life.
After a year and a half of repeated displacement and living in a tattered tent in Deir al-Balah – a tent that offered no protection from the summer's heat, the winter's cold, or even the shrapnel from bombings – we returned to our home in northern Gaza. We found it, and the entire area, utterly destroyed, reduced to rubble. Is there anything more devastating than losing the roof over your head?
Now, we are forced to live in a tent in our devastated neighborhood, where the cold of the night chills us to the bone. We are starving amidst a famine that is consuming us, going to sleep with empty stomachs and unable to secure even our most basic needs. The market is expensive and scarce; even a bag of flour has reached the staggering price of $400.
Access to water is incredibly difficult, so much so that we are drinking unsafe, contaminated water, which has led to my sister falling ill with jaundice.
We wake at dawn, after a fitful night of shelling and drone sounds, bitten by mosquitoes and enveloped in the oppressive heat. Sand beneath us, unfamiliar insects all around. We queue for hours under the blistering sun just to fill our water, and bake our bread in a simple clay oven.
Cooking over firewood in the scorching sun is a daily trial. My father has chronic diseases like asthma, is forced to light fires every day for cooking in the hot weather because of the high cost of cooking gas.
We are trapped in a cycle of fear and uncertainty, struggling to survive each day. We have reached a point where there is no more hope for us here in Gaza. We are just waiting to die. Please help me and my family get out of Gaza. I sincerely appreciate any donation, no matter how small, that will make a significant contribution to alleviating our suffering. Please consider sharing my campaign with your family and friends to reach my goal as quickly as possible, as every second is a threat to life in Gaza. ❤️
