Hi, my name is Hailey Gonzalez, and I am 18 years old. On May 28 at 8:06 in the morning, my stepfather was detained by ICE in Colony Ridge by Highway 99 near Miller. The night before, I had just graduated from Cleveland High School.
I feel it is unfair for my father , as-well every single family that has been separated by ICE . The day after my graduation he was taken away from us. He just wanted to go to work that day to provide for our family.
Here is a little about my father his name is Aldo Garcia and he had been there for me since I was 7 years old. Growing up, my mother was a single mom raising me, but when my Dad came into my life, he took full responsibility for our family. Because of him, my mother was able to become a stay at home mom and go to school.
My siblings are 9 and 8 years old, and all they want is for our dad to come back home. He is a hardworking man who has always provided for our family. Now that my father has been taken, my family is struggling financially, mentally, and emotionally.
My dad never had done anything wrong. He has always been a good person with no arrest or felonies he always helped other people he has a kind soul. All he wanted to do was work and provide for his family.
I ask that if anyone can help my father, it would mean a lot to us. We are trying to raise money for a lawyer to help prevent his deportation.
