Hello everyone. My name is Lily. My dad - Fernando Segura - is in the hospital for a rare autoimmune disease called Dermatomyositis. It is extremely severe. He is expected to be hospitalized for much longer than expected. For the passed few years, my dad and step mom Lyanne have been living hotel to hotel in California, trying their best to get back on their feet. As you might guess, without insurance or my dad being able to contribute to the weekly bills, they are in an extremely tough situation. Their hotel room is $197.26 nightly until June 15th. After this, their daily hotel room bill will increase to around $425. The car is $57.14-72.14, if late, there is a $15 fee added. $50 a day for food because his diet is now very strict, Lyanne drives around 300-400 miles a day for work, so $40 daily for gas to allow Lyanne to continue her job safely. They need a rental in order to save money. Extra money is needed for monthly infusions in order to get my dad healthy again. In order to keep a roof over both my dad and his wife’s head, my dad healthy, and food in both of their stomachs, I am asking for help on his behalf. My dad has been such an amazing person in everyone’s lives. He has touched the hearts of many, he stays strong in the toughest situations, and is constantly doing whatever he can to help. So now I want to return the favor. Our $22K goal will make sure my dad can get his treatment, food, and keep his room for a month.
