Hi everyone, I’d like to thank you for even opening this fundraiser and ask that even if you don’t donate please share it. And please remember that anything counts. As of May 11th, my 2 year old baby Raiu was taken to the ER because we suspected that he had a UTI. We soon learned that he developed a disease called FLUTD (Feline Lower Urinary Track Disease) which can be fatal. After a few exams, an in place treatment and some painkillers he was released from the hospital 9 hours later. After a few days of prescription food and painkillers we thought he was fully recovered just to find out on the 19th that his blockage returned and the next step would be a catharsis which is a very expensive procedure since it requires overnight monitoring and constant fluid intake. As of today he has seen 5 different vets and we have spent almost $1000 in bills…The catharsis was unsuccessful. The next step is PU surgery (perineal urethrostomy) which is also a very costly surgery. The surgery itself goes around $3.5k but he will need after care, medication, monitoring and other fees that will get the costs up to $6k. We have applied to the credit line and were declined so this is his only shot to make it.
