Save My Brother Chris from Total Paralysis
Help My Brother Chris Walk Again After a Devastating Setback
I'm writing this on behalf of my brother, Chris.
Chris is 55 years old and has spent the last 8 years in a wheelchair, working tirelessly to regain mobility after a life-changing disability. Through sheer determination, he was beginning to walk short distances again — even managing to move around without assistance at times. After undergoing hip replacements and receiving a limited amount of physical therapy covered by disability benefits, Chris was finally on the road to recovery. He felt hopeful, was preparing to return to work, and reclaiming the independence he had lost.
Then everything changed.
Chris recently developed multiple spinal injuries in his cervical spine, and the impact has been devastating. Two weeks ago, his doctors gave him terrifying news: he has severe nerve impingement that could very likely result in total paralysis — and even a single fall could trigger it.
Time is critical. The nerve impingement is worsening by the day. In just the past few weeks, Chris has fallen multiple times — and each fall has made his mobility worse. His ability to walk, even with assistance, is rapidly declining. Everyday tasks like cooking, cleaning, bathing, and getting out of bed are becoming exhausting or impossible. He’s in constant pain and struggling just to function.
And yet, he’s still trying to work. Despite everything, Chris continues to do what he can to earn money — to pay his bills and cover the cost of the medical treatment he so desperately needs. He’s pushing through pain and physical limitations just to survive.
The most heartbreaking part is that treatment is available — care that could relieve his pain, restore mobility, and protect him from permanent disability — but it’s not covered by his insurance. Chris has already done the hard work: he’s found experienced specialists and is ready to start treatment. But the cost is far beyond what he can afford on a fixed disability income.
That’s why I’m asking for help.
Every dollar raised will go directly to the urgent care Chris needs — including specialist treatment, physical therapy, medical equipment, and transportation. This isn’t just about walking again. It’s about protecting his independence, preserving his dignity, and preventing a permanent and devastating outcome.
If you can give, please know that your support means everything to Chris and our family. And if you can’t donate, please consider sharing this campaign with others who might be able to help.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you. God bless you.
With deep gratitude,
Chris’s sister
