Help Kenna kick anorexia and come back to Seattle

Donation protected
My friend Kenna has been battling anorexia for the last four years.  In early July I was randomly sitting in a parking lot in Westwood Seattle texting when I looked over to see Kenna walking along the sidewalk.  After third round of treatment ended in February 2019 she left the hospital and returned to Seattle.

Part of this disorder involves avoiding many folks who care about here including me.  When I got her in my car I could barely look at her.   The check bones in her face where protruding and she could barely walk... she was so weak.   After some loving intervention she self admitted to Harborview later that week and was sent to treatment in Denver the following Monday.  This was the first time she self admitted without her father literally flying across the country and dragging her to the hospital.  A big step in the right direction.  In fact she has maintained contact throughout and even reached out to co-workers from three years ago who previously offered help and support after her second round of treatment.

Anyone who has first hand experience understands how deadly this disorder is and  hard it is to kick.  Frankly I am amazed she’s still alive given the damage she’s caused to her organs due to persistent lack of nutrition.  I understand her ideal weight is somewhere around 120 and when she was admitted she was 68 lbs.

She worked full time for QFC between her three previous commitments and was a only a couple weeks away from having full benefits again before her most recent commitment.  Without benefits she’s been forced to spend her life’s savings.  Her family is unable to provide financial assistance.

I only found out last week she was out of money and likely going to be homeless when she is released.    Her  landlord is aware of the situation but has so far refused requests for relief of any kind.

I am trying to raise three months of rent so she can avoid eviction while she is completing treatment.

Also if anyone has first hand knowledge of tenants rights issues in Seattle I‘d be grateful for any assistance.
