Save Murphy from Intestinal Blockage

Hi everyone!
This is Murphy. He is 11 years old, and my boyfriend and I adopted him about 2.5 months ago.
Murphy has had a very hard life.
He has been in 5 homes, including ones that yelled at him, abused him, and kept him outside 24/7. His 5th and final home is with us, and we love him more than we can say.
Murphy may be 11, but he acts like he is still 3 years old. He will play fetch nonstop, always wants pets and affection, and will snarf down a pup cup like it is nobody's business. He loves everyone, even when the world has not been kind to him. He is so affectionate, fiercely protective of us, and makes friends anywhere he goes.
We made it our goal to ensure that his final years are filled with so much love, care, attention, and snacks.
Unfortunately, while giving him a bath, trying to distract him with peanut butter, Murphy ingested the top of a mini rubber spatula. We didn't know it could so easily come off.
He acted totally normal, like the fun loving old man he is, until he started vomiting, and things got bad quickly. The vet found that the rubber spatula had lodged itself in his small intestine, and he needs emergency surgery.
My partner and I are moving into a new place soon, and just starting our careers as young digital media graduates, so money is tight.
Any help is so very appreciated, even just sending love to Murphy or sharing this fundraiser helps more than you know.
As soon as he is recovered, he will get so much peanut butter (no more spatulas, though).
