My mothers name is Kim Bernadine Butler, she is currently being held captive at Rutland nursing home in Brooklyn New York. My name is Kaira and I am her one and only child/single living relative she has fighting for her.
My mother was A New York City department of education speech & language pathologist, and special education teacher for over 20 years. She is my last living elder and parent.
I desperately need your help in saving all of my mothers personal belongings and subsequently her life. My mother has been kept against her will in this nursing home for the past five months. In the time span of her captivity in this violent and negligent place, her purse with all of her identification has gone missing. Including her cell phone, debit and health cards.
Things have progressively gotten worse, as her Rutland Nursing Home social worker failed to notify her storage unit facility with the information necessary to keep her unit safe and up-to-date. **All of her storage units will be auctioned for sale tomorrow December 15, 2020 at 11:30 AM!!!**

I have till 10:30 AM to raise the funds necessary to save her things. My mother initially was approved for only 100 days in this nursing home for physical and speech therapy. This was to get well from a fall that happened at her homeless shelter.
Since being a patient at this particular nursing home she has stopped walking, stopped going to the bathroom on her own and stopped eating on her own. She has lost 30 to 40 pounds in less than three months!!!She has lost motor function, orientation and cognition. She has also lost ALL ability to keep track of her finances and be responsible for her own well-being.
I myself have been in and out of the New York City homeless shelter system with my mother since I was 16 years old. Her undiagnosed mental illnesses made for a very unstable upbringing.
Fortunately, I am now in a position to take my mother into my own apartment and look after her needs for my self. However, the nursing home has been difficult to say the least. I’ve spent months pleading and trying to work with their staff. My goal has been to secure discharge papers for over 4 months now. The nursing home purposefully moved her floor so she would be reassigned a whole new staff, causing the process to start all over again. Adding insult to injury I was only informed of this when I called and found out myself.
We are running out of time. My Mother needs your help! I need your help! Our goal is raise 3k in under 24 hours!!! Please help us gain the financial liberty to save all my mothers personal belongings from auction and finally take my mom out of the nursing home!
I need your help to sustainably afford, petitioning the courts for guardianship, and financial freedom to afford her relocation.
I need my mother out of the nursing home that is slowly killing her , and relocated to the safety of my apartment in NJ. My wish is for my mom to have the ability to live the rest of her days out comfortably with me by her side.
