Save Mowgli: Urgent Medical Help Needed

Hello! My name is Rachael and this is my sweet, lovely kitty, Mowgli.

I adopted this little angel only two months ago, almost three now, in March.

Last week, I took her to the emergency vet because she was experiencing heavy, labored breathing. She got in her cat carrier by herself and she hates going in there. She was letting me know even more that something was terribly wrong.

After six hours of tests, I learned that she was suffering from congestive heart failure. She's only seven years old and still so full of life.

After a week, she is still doing okay, but some days her breathing gets elevated and she needs extra meds.

After the emergency room visit, I am already in debt, but struggling to pay for her meds and am scared for another emergency room visit if her breathing worsens. The first visit cost $1700, not including follow up visits.

I also am personally undergoing serious dental work which is looking to cost me around $6000+.

Besides the costs, my heart is utterly breaking for my sweet, playful angel kitty. Because her heart and breathing are so fragile, I have to limit the amount she plays which is so difficult on multiple levels. She loves to play with her ribbon, her platypus kicky toy, and her hidey tunnel. She goes and sits by those things and stares at me and chirps until I play with her.

She and I had a special connection from day one. We both fell in love. She has the sweetest, purest soul. She cuddles with me every night and still loves to cuddle. I love her so much and have cried so much at the thought of losing her, especially after only having her for a couple months.
