Save Morris

This is Morris.  He is approximately 3.5 years old.  Up until a few weeks ago he was homeless.  Some nice folks were feeding him, but were unable to keep him.  Soon after Morris started coming around their house they noticed he was having trouble with his ear.  They brought him to the vet and a polyp was removed. Everyone thought Morris was fine.  He was returned to the wild, but these great people kept feeding him.  When they went on vacation I was taking care of their pets and house.  They made sure to tell me to feed Morris.  Even though he was homeless he was loved.  The first time I met Morris he jumped right in my lap and started purring.  In all my years of having cats no cat has ever done that.  I fell in love and asked the folks if I could adopt him.  Everyone was very happy, especially Morris.  He joined me and my 2 senior rescue cats to become a family.  He loved being a house cat.  He quickly made himself at home, snuggling with me each night.  Cuddling on my pillow.  Purring loudly at anyone he met.  Morris is a total cuddlebug. His favorite toy is a plain old shoelace.  He plays with it for hours. No matter where it starts, it always winds up in his food dish.  A few days after I had him his ear started bleeding.  I rushed him to the ER.  They told me there was still 6 weeks since I adopted him and it was clear he was still having ear problems.  Morris needed a specialist.  Last week we saw the ear doctor.  He still has a growth in his ear, additionally he has an ear infection.  At this point the only viable solution is ear surgery.  Without this surgery he will most likely lose his hearing, and the infection will grow worse.  Morris is in trouble.  The surgery and related procedures are expected to cost $4k-$5k.  I am on a fixed income and have almost no savings.  The people who found Morris have offered to help, but they too have limited funds.  Morris is the sweetest cat I have ever met.  There's no way he was a feral cat. Someone must have abandoned him. I wouldn't dream of abandoning him. I want to save him, but I need help.  I am asking friends, family and animal lovers to donate whatever you can.  Even a few dollars can help save Morris. If everyone gives a little it will mean a lot. Thank you in advance.

NOTE: GoFundMe will ask if you want to make an additional donation that goes to them. This is not at all necessary. It is totally okay to put $0. .
