***UPDATE*** 30th Nov.  We're off the Dec 12th auction!! After our campaign was featured in the Birmingham Mail and on ITV Central News we were invited to the Council House to meet with the Director Of Inclusive Growth who agreed to defer the auction  of our site until February 2020.  We will meet again in January.  So we now have a chance to raise the funds to buy the site.

We are group of plucky traders on a small industrial estate in Sparkbrook, which is owned and run by Birmingham City Council.

The Council want to sell up, but they didn't tell us, we found out in an auction brochure and not from them! So we formed a co-operative of tenants with the intention of buying the site from the Council.

We want to own and run our trading estate as a not for profit business hub which will act as a fantastic place for opportunistic Brummies who want to start a business.

This is why the Council built it in the first place. It was a great idea and some big local businesses were born here.

Birmingham City Council won't entertain our proposals, even though we have formed a legal entity, created a business plan and spoken to potential and enthusiastic mortgage lenders. All in the short time we have had.

They just want us to take our chances at the auction on Dec 12th. What a disgraceful attitude!

Please help us raise a deposit to buy our site, whether it be at auction or privately if we successfully negotiate with Birmingham City Council
