Hello All,

My name is Monique Johnson. I am a native of Charlotte, NC. Unfortunately, I lost my job in October of 2024. To say it has been a struggle since then doesn’t even describe it. This has been the toughest time of my life, struggling in every way you could imagine.

This GoFundMe is for me trying to save my car. The car note is close to 60 days past due. Between interest, regular payments, and late fees, I am in the hole almost 4 grand. Not to mention, the finance company bills a month in advance. My car is the only mode of transportation I have. I have a child as a single mother. I’ve reached out to her father for assistance to no avail.

I really don’t know what else to do. I’m exhausted. I drive Lyft every day along with still applying and trying for jobs. It’s just tough. There is no 401K to draw from and there are no resources that assist with car payments. I feel like I’m drowning and fading fast.

No amount is too small and I’m grateful for anything that can be given to help.
