Hi Friends, Family and Fans of Modern Pentathlon!

 

We have been blown away by the rapid and spontaneous response by the Modern Pentathlon community to the secret UIPM Executive Board decision to drop the Riding discipline from the Olympic Games in 2028.

 

We now need to back up our campaigning by raising funds to support our actions. 

 

Funds raised will be administered by Anthony Temple QC, former pentathlete and former Chairman of Pentathlon GB. The money we raise supports the actions by ‘Pentathlon United’, including supporting an arbitration, with the intention of encouraging the UIPM (and the IOC) to retain riding as the fifth discipline in the Modern Pentathlon at and after the Los Angeles Olympic Games 2028.

Funds raised are allocated to a separate, ring-fenced account from which they are drawn to meet expenses as they arise.

Any surplus – it seems unlikely that there will be any given the incidence of legal costs – will be used to support and encourage riding in developing countries.
