UPDATE: Mochi unfortunately passed away this morning, her body was unable to hold on. Anything to help towards the vet bills we have accumulated would be greatly appreciated.

Mochi is my sweet, lover girl that many of you may remember as “Carly” from the shelter before she came home with me. In the short time she’s been home with me, she’s stolen our hearts and formed an unbreakable bond with her new sister, Kimchi. They are inseparable, playing, napping, and grooming each other all day long.

But our world was turned upside down when Mochi was diagnosed with FIP (feline infectious peritonitis) and pneumonia. FIP used to be a death sentence for cats, but there is now a groundbreaking treatment that can save her life. Without it, she will not survive. With it, she has a real chance at a long, happy, healthy life with Kimchi and our family.

Mochi is already in the hospital receiving the specialized medication she needs, but the cost is overwhelming. Between hospitalization, the FIP medication, and follow-up care, we’re facing around $10,000 in vet bills. We’ve already covered as much as we can, but we can’t do this alone.

Every single donation, big or small, will go directly toward giving Mochi the best fighting chance. She’s only a baby, full of love and life, and she deserves to grow up in a home where she’s safe, healthy, and loved.
