Save Mochi: Urgent Care Needed for Our Cat
Donation protected
*MOCHI UPDATE: Firstly, we want to thank everyone who has donated to our sweet boy. We are so touched by everyone's generosity and it truly means so much to our family. We are just so incredibly grateful to our community, family and friends. Thank you so much.
We wanted to let you all know that sadly our sweet Mochi has passed. The whole family was able to be with him in his last moments. He was greatly loved for the last 12 years and lived a full happy life. We are content to know that he is now at peace.
We will use the money raised here to cover Mochi's medical expenses from yesterday (12/21/24) and the past few weeks from him being in and out of the hospital. We have attached invoices below for reference.
Thank you so much again for all of your kindness and support.
-Samantha and the Saputo Family
Mochi is our beloved family’s cat. We rescued him in 2012 and when I (Samantha) left for college my grandpa (Anthony) took over caring for him and he’s been an important part of the family ever since.
In October of 2024 Mochi was diagnosed with diabetes and ever since then he’s been on a rocky road. We’ve been having a difficult time getting him stable on insulin and he’s been in and out of the hospital.
Today (12/21/24) he’s been admitted to the emergency vet as we again try to get him in stable condition. He has fluid around his lungs and he’s now put on oxygen. The vet believes they can get him stable again if he can stay in the hospital for 2-3 days but it will be costly. We are here asking for financial support to help cover the cost of medical bills. We aren’t ready to give up on over dear Mochi and any support would mean the world to us.
Thank you,
Samantha and the Saputo family
