Save Mobie: Fund His Vital Blood Tests
Our sweet boy, Mobie, is in urgent need of help. Just a few days ago, he started showing worrying symptoms: labored breathing, drooling, gasping for air, and signs of pain like excessive meowing.
We immediately took him to the vet, hoping for answers and relief for our beloved family member.
The initial diagnosis was unclear, and despite receiving antibiotics and cortisone, Mobie has only gotten worse.
He's now refusing to eat and drink, drooling, mouth breathing, and the concerning black or brown discharge from his mouth.
The vet has indicated that without further diagnostic testing, like blood work and potentially imaging, they are unable to pinpoint what is causing Mobie's rapid decline.
We've learned that even the initial, crucial blood tests can cost between $100 and $200, and further diagnostics or treatment could significantly increase these costs.
Sadly, our family is facing significant financial constraints and we are unable to afford even these initial, vital tests at this time.
The heartbreaking reality is that the vet has expressed concern that Mobie may not have much longer if we can't figure out what's wrong and provide the necessary treatment.
Mobie, who we affectionately call 'Mo Baby,' is the sweetest boy. He's always been such a lap kitty, constantly purring with contentment.
That's why it was so alarming when we noticed him stop purring and no longer acting like his usual, affectionate self.
It broke our hearts to see our typically vibrant and loving companion become so unwell.
We are reaching out to our community, friends, family, and kind strangers in the hopes of raising at least $300-$500 to afford the necessary blood tests and any subsequent treatment Mobie desperately needs.
Every single contribution, no matter how small, will make a significant difference in our ability to get Mobie the medical attention he deserves and hopefully give him a chance to recover and come back home to us, healthy and happy, purring in our laps once again.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for taking the time to read Mobie's story and for any support you can offer. We will keep you updated on his progress.
