Hi there!

My name is Chantal and I am launching this GofundMe in support of the therapeutic and Indigenous Bennie Farm, who suffered a great emergency yesterday. Mishtadim (Mish), a young Arabian foal was rushed to emergency care in Vancouver after suffering a potentially catastrophic injury that is now impacting his ability to nurse and eat.

Bennie Farm, where Mish and his Mom Sophie live is a therapeutic staple in our community. This farm helps individuals of all backgrounds including underprivileged, and those with disabilities, including but not limited to FAS, Autism Spectrum, trauma and more. The therapeutic farm teaches about the land, and animals through a beautiful Indigenous culture, connecting body, mind and spirit. It is a sanctuary for people and animals alike.

The funds raised here will go directly to

Mish’s care in Vancouver where he will require 24/7 care for at least a week. During this time he may require to be taught how to nurse on his mother Sophie again. The funds will cover this life-saving treatment and expenses so that he can be returned to the beautiful Bennie Farm on Vancouver Island.
