Minoska is my husband's cousin and the closest family to us, in Maryland. She was first detained by ICE in the first half of 2025, and with your wonderful Gofundme donations, you helped pay for her release back home on bond.

In October, she was called in to an impromptu ICE appointment, where her bond release was violated and she was taken back into custody. She was transported to Basile, Louisiana days later. Hers is the same detention center where Tufts graduate student Rümeysa Öztürk was held.

There, Minoska says the AC is frigid and constantly on. She isn’t able to change her clothes often. There, hope is dwindling among the detained. Minoska's lawyer does not have a positive outlook. They are going to request a bond hearing; this will require more financial help.

Our $9,000 goal includes the $2,500 in legal fees and a bond estimate above the $2,750 raised for the fees and bond for her first detention. I will be adding updates as they come.
