Milo's Road to Recovery: Saving Milo with Emergency Surgery
Donation protected
*UPDATE*
Milo was scheduled for surgery on Wednesday 26 of February. The days leading up to surgery date, Milo was beginning to walk on his own. The vet decided to re-do his xrays to see if any progress, and saw that his fractures were the same. She was surprised on how well he was doing on his own, and informed us that if we proceeded with the surgery, it may cause further damage instead of benefitting him. She advised us to come back in two weeks and if he looks better, then most likely he won’t be needing surgery. If he does need surgery it will be less invasive. Milo is currently on pain medications and we are keeping an eye on his progress. We do not let him go down the stairs himself, but is overall doing okay. Thank you all for the support and donations. We truly cannot have done it without you guys.

Hi, this is Milo. Milo was lost for 8 days, suffering in harsh weather conditions (rain, snow, cold temperatures). Every single day, I was devastated and emotionally stressed, trying to find my baby. I was putting up flyers, checking shelters, and posting him on social media hoping he was found. Finally, after 8 days, we were able to find him and immediately knew something was not right. He was in bad condition. He lost a lot of weight and was very weak. Currently, he is unable to walk without struggling. We took him to a vet emergency group where we were notified, he had bones in his stomach and rectum. Sadly, that was not all. Milo has multiple pelvic fractures from his days of wandering on the streets.
He will need surgery. This is so overwhelming for me because so many things came all at once. I am currently 9 months pregnant, due any day now, and my fur baby needs surgery. I need help and I do not know what to do. The doctors have told me depending on any complications, I could be looking at $8,000-$12,000 for Milo’s surgery and his recovery. Please, if you can help me save my Milo.
