Hello everyone!
My name is Lauren Neal and I am in desperate need to help my cat.
On Sunday, September 22nd, 2024, my cat Milo got outside and went missing. She was missing until yesterday, September 26th, 2024. Within the 4 days she was missing, she endured severe wet stormy weather, had no food or water, her claws are down to nubs, and she has scratches on her face. She has been putting up a fight for her life. She has had constant seizures since.
An angel of a Good Samaritan found her near my house and took her to the Lee Highway 24/7 vet because of the seizures she is having. They kept her overnight, costing $1,081.98. The Good Samaritan, Brittney, paid for the initial bill last night. This morning, I received another bill for $2,208.11 for 24 more hours of care, or $2,751.11 for 36 more hours of care. They do not know what is causing the cluster seizures.
I really need help getting her the care she needs. She is only 2 1/2 years old and has babies. I have attached below photos of Milo, photos of her being found, photos of us at the hospital, and her bills. Please, just sharing this post may help!
Thank you, everyone.
Update Monday 9/30/24
She isn’t too well I took her to the vet this morning and they did an exam, they said it could be a lot of things. She hasn’t really been eating or drinking, and they basically keep saying monitor her for seizures. The only options would be an MRI (crazy expensive), x- rays, spinal checks,“monitor her”, or put her down. She’s up and walking, but the medicine just makes her go right back down. She doesn’t eat food on her own, but she has been taking the syringe with ease.
Her belly/mid back of her spine seems like it hurts. I suggested an X-ray and the Vet said she didn’t think it would show anything we need to see.
They also said it could be brain damage from her having the bad seizure Friday night. The vet this morning also said based on the bloodwork from the Lee Highway ER Thursday night, her liver enzymes were a little high, which aligns with toxin ingestion. I want to wait a little longer.
I don’t want her to suffer, but I also don’t want to be the one who puts her down if she *could* get better.
