Save Millennium Charter High School
Millennium Charter High School is in a fight for its life.
Monterey County’s most artistic, creative, and unique students are in danger of losing their school and safe haven.
Our diverse student body commutes from as far south as King City and as far west as Pacific Grove to attend the only Arts Media and Entertainment (AME) charter high school in Monterey County.
These students are burgeoning artists and civic leaders. They are critical thinkers and big picture visionaries in development. In class, they are learning media production, digital animation, performing arts and video game design along with traditional subjects. Classwork is hands-on and project based, with guidance from leading professionals in each individual field. Students are learning to harness the power of of the latest 3-D technology as well as the time tested tools like pen and paper.
Millennium Charter High School students revel not only in the creative atmosphere fostered on campus but also an environment that is accepting of individual differences, backgrounds, and experiences.
MCHS is indebted to the community for offering the safe space to create and build capacity for creativity. In order to repay that debt, now is the time all stakeholders, new and old, to step forward and show their commitment to this region’s youngest creators/artists.
Millennium needs donors to keep the dream afloat. We need support from the entire community to ensure local representation in the Arts, Media and Entertainment industries. The next Hollywood film director, the next NBC News broadcaster, the next Netflix show star could be on our campus right now. We need to support their work and encourage them to pursue their dreams.
We hope you can match the ambitions and motivations of our students with your financial support. Help Monterey County’s stars of the future get their start by donating today.
