Hi, my name is Dindi, and I’m reaching out with a humble heart to ask for your support for my friend’s brave daughter, Mika Arradaza Perez, who is in the Philippines.
Mika is only 10 years old. She used to be a happy, healthy, and thriving little girl who loved school and life. In May 2023, her family found out that she had a brain tumor and was also diagnosed with hydrocephalus. Around that time, she underwent surgery for a VP shunt to help drain the excess fluid from her head.
In November 2024, they made the difficult decision to proceed with another operation to remove her tumor. After the surgery, Mika went through cycles of radiation therapy showing incredible strength and resilience through it all.
But the battle didn’t stop there.
On March 9, Mika was rushed to the hospital after vomiting blood and was later diagnosed with pneumonia. By March 13, she was admitted in Ormoc and on March 16, she was urgently transferred to a larger hospital in Cebu to receive the critical care she needs.
Recently, Mika underwent another MRI, and the results showed that the lesions have already spread in her brain. And now, in March, she suffered a brain bleed and is also experiencing bleeding in other parts of her body. Her condition is extremely critical, and her fight has become even more urgent.
Despite everything, Mika remains incredibly strong and continues to fight with so much courage.
However, the financial burden on her parents, Darlyn and Michael, has become overwhelming. In just four days, their hospital bill has already exceeded Php 100,000, and it continues to rise every single day.
We are knocking on your kind hearts to please help Mika in her fight against cancer. Any amount big or small will go a long way in supporting her treatment and easing the burden on her family. All funds will go directly to Darlyn and Michael Arradaza as the beneficiaries.
Most importantly, we ask for your prayers. Please keep Mika in your thoughts as she continues this incredibly difficult battle.
Thank you so much for your kindness, generosity, and support.
Dindi James
