Mia was diagnosed with early stages of renal disease (also known as kidney disease) in November of 2023. As of recent, her illness has taken a turn for the worst. Mia is very ill. We are asking for any help to cover the cost of labs, possible hospitalization, medicine and follow up visits. Unfortunately and embarrassingly, I do not have the savings to handle this emergency. While Mia is 16, I know she has so much life left. I have had this sweet baby since I turned 21, since she could fit in the palm of my hand. I picked her up on a pot farm in northern California, my little pot farm kitty. She became my life partner, we went through so many eras together. Road tripped from California to North Carolina, North Carolina to Chicago where we now reside, and have been for the past 6 years. We have been through so many ups and downs, together. Our bond is something that I cherish greatly. I love this little girl, more than words could ever express and I know many reading this who have met her, or have only seen pictures/ videos I have shared have fallen in love with her, as well. I apologize for the lengthy story. I am very emotional writing this. I will be forever in debt and gratitude to anyone willing to help Mia get back to a comfortable state of health. I refuse to face the decision of, putting her to a permanent sleep, it just cannot be an option, for us. I cannot do that, to her. Creating this fund raiser is, incredibly difficult. I know so many people are also just, trying to get by. But, I am at a point where, I am feeling desperate. Having to make a financial decision for the health of our pets, in my opinion is cruel.
