Save Meg From Her House

Donation protected
Hi everyone,

This fundraiser is for my dear friend Meg Gauley. Her house in New Orleans incurred significant hurricane damage and was occupied by squatters. They stole the appliances. They destroyed her house BEYOND the damage of Hurricane Ida (see attached photos). There is blood on the floor. There are needles strewn about. There is broken glass everywhere.

We need to board up the house so that no ones hurts themselves, and right now lumber is really expensive. We need to pay for tree removal, legal fees to deal with the squatters, and other miscellaneous expenses that aren’t currently being paid for by insurance. We can’t wait for insurance to pay for these things, and the up front costs are significant.

Any funds raised that are beyond the expenses will be directly donated to the Pointe-Au-Chien Indian tribe, who experienced devastating damages as a result of not only Hurricane Ida but generational marginalization and violence at the hands of the oil and gas industry.

THANK YOU and please share!
