Save MCSRI: Support Accessible Education
Donation protected
Our wonderful accessible Montessori Community School in Providence, RI has recently experienced a leadership transition, and it has come to light that the school has a large financial deficit. It may have to close its doors if we can't raise the school’s goal of $150k by April 1st!
It's hard to describe what a special place MCSRI is. It is more than a school. It is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to breaking down barriers to access high-quality education.
It is the only Montessori school in the state committed to eliminating the financial obstacle that many families face in enrolling their children in an excellent educational setting. MCSRI provides tuition support for families in need through fundraising.
The school is also an essential Montessori teacher training pipeline focused on teachers of color—many of whom are from the local community. Montessori certification training costs over $9,000 per teacher, and MCSRI provides financial support to every teacher in training.
What began almost 20 years ago as a mission to make Montessori education accessible has turned into a thriving school community of students, staff, and families from different neighborhoods, races, cultures, and economic backgrounds. It is a very special place, that puts the children right at the heart of everything they do.
Please donate what you can to save our school!
