Please help me save my best friend, Max. He has a foreign body blockage in his GI from eating a corn cob and is not doing well at all. We spent all of yesterday, June 6th, at VEG in San Jose, taking x-rays, receiving fluids/medicine, and discussing options. He is due to go back early this morning for another round of x-rays. Ideally, the vet would like to do an ultrasound to get a more in-depth image of what we are up against, and if able/needed, set up for surgery. Unfortunately, I am not in the financial position to be able to afford any of that. I've always had a really hard time asking for help because of the shame I feel for not doing/being better. I don't like to burden others.

In this situation, the one who really suffers is my wonderful good boy, Max. So I'm asking, please help me save him, help give him the opportunity to continue living his beautiful life. He is such a good boy with such a big heart and personality. It's so easy to fall in love with him when you meet him. Max is a sweet, goofy, big puppy. He deserves the chance to live a full and long life.

We are working against the clock; the more time goes by, the greater his risk for intestinal perforations and other complications.

Along with starting a GoFundMe, I have been applying for grants and financial aid from various non-profit organizations. Any funds we are blessed with will go directly to his treating veterinarian/Veterinary Emergency Group to treat Max. Thank you for taking your time to read this and for your consideration.
