Please read MAX's story. He deserves a life too.

I understand that there are thousands of dogs (understatement), from all around the world who are in kill shelters and are asking for your help. In your eyes there may be very little difference between them and beautiful Max. Please let me tell you a little bit about this gentle boy and why this page has been set up in the first place.

MAX.

This loving boy is Max and he is only 1 years old, based in Romania and currently living in a Kill Shelter and he has less than 14 days to live. We have been in exchange with the rescue centre that helps bring animals from Romania to the UK and he has had a heart breaking life for such a young age. He grew up on the streets with no mother and has had to survive by himself. But that has not stopped him from being his warm, playful and gentle self. Thankfully, one family would feed him scraps to keep him alive, but due to their relocation, Max has now been taken into a Kill Shelter. In Romania it means that they have 14 days to find a home, before they are euthanised in an extremely inhumane way.

My family and I are working our very hardest to get him over to the UK, but we really do need the help of other animal lovers who are wanting to do an unbelievably generous act and support our transport. In Romania the government are able to put extremely high fees when we attempt to extract an animal out of a bad situation, because they know that they can raise it that high. Which puts us in a very difficult situation. We have managed to get his health and safety checks, vaccinations, passports and much more done and he is close to ready to leave. But we still need your help and desperately. The fees to get him to the UK are £450. Which my family and I heartbreakingly can not reach. After everything we have done to get to this point, we can not give up.

There is very little I can say to explain the severity of what it is like for a dog such as Max to be there. Please do some research into the living conditions and societal views on dogs and cats in Romania in particular. We have set the goal to £500 to help bring him to a safe home with everything he will need. When he arrives we want to provide for him, his own bed, specialised food to help transition and his own toys. Which we believe he has never had of his own.

This may be another dog to some people. But he is a living animal who needs people to believe in him enough to give him a new life. Where we know he will repay with endless love and affection. Please.
