SAVING MASJID IBN TAYMIYYAH!

Masjid Ibn Taymiyyah is located at 8000, Martin Luther King Junior Highway, Glen Arden, Maryland, USA, 20706. For 22 years, this masjid has served the community, given shahaadah to countless new Muslims, counsel and given support to the needy and poor Muslims and non-Muslims.

The masjid has now grown to the extent that we have no option but to have two sessions of jum'ahs. Parking became our biggest problem and the parking officers started giving worshippers tickets for wrong parking and praying on part of the street. Cars were towed and our mini venders were given tickets. Is this a harassment because the property has a new owner or because we are surrounded by shops and liquor stores? Or is it a wakeup call for us to move? The million-dollar question is to where and how?

At the time of creating this GoFundMe campaign, the Masjid has been closed for the past three weeks for some reasons we can't share publicly and fully. Yes, closed temporarily by the city/county demanding we fix somethings in the masjid. Alhamdu lillah, all their demands have been met - fixed!

Imagine a masjid that serves its community for twenty-two years and provides Iftar for about one hundred and fifty people every day in Ramadan to be shut down three days after the beginning of Ramadan! So sadly and painfully!

We are therefore stretching our needy hands to you in these last ten days of this blessed month, to donate to this heavenly campaign in order to help keep the house of Allah and your reward will be nothing less than paradise in sha Allah
