Hi, this is Martin’s story.

Martin is the youngest child from the Machuca family. Ivanna (9) and Martin just turned 4. He is a charming, happy, playful, joyful, adorable kid full of energy with a loving heart. He was born into a very united and hardworking family in Caracas, Venezuela. Jhoana and Oscar Machuca, his parents, are very dedicated and committed to raising their kids with love, strong foundation, values, and Christian beliefs. At this moments unfortunately, Martin is struggling with mayor health issues. Early morning on February 18, he was rushed to the Children's hospital in an ambulance due to a tremendous headache followed by unstoppable vomiting and constant pain. Immediately in the emergency room, doctors and medical staff ran several tests and studies to determine what caused such episodes. Unfortunately, he had a mini-stroke and later on, he was diagnosed with ventriculomegaly. Since then, he has been in the ICU.

With no time to lose, doctors started treatment and tried to drain liquid from the brain. By doing their best, doctors are awaiting how the treatment is evolving also how his little body reacts in order to find out a solution. A couple of days later, doctors concluded for sure Martin will undergo surgery with a 90% chance to place a valve into his brain for the rest of his life. This unexpected scenario has been shocking news for the whole family. This will limit Martin from practicing any sport or doing other child things.

Despite his parents being very diligent in looking for support in their native country, Venezuela, it is a fact the Venezuelan socioeconomic crisis worsens daily. This leads to a overwelming financial situation for the family, ending up in a tremendous frustration for not having enough money to cover all medical expenses such as treatments, medication, large medical bills, medical supplies, and endless etc. He deserves to live a decent life.

Martin has been diagnosed with a dangerous condition called endovenous malformations in the brain which require urgent life saving surgery his father Oscar is one of the hardest working people working tirelessly but makes 55 a week barley enough to support his family's needs and martin the diagnoses has been devestating emotionally and financially endovenous malformations are abnormal connections between veins in the brain that can lead to swelling and seizures or even rain damage and stroke if left untreated TIME IS CRITICAL and cost of surgery is 20k far beyond families reach every bottle sold brings martin one step closer to a future he deserves
