Save Martin Fowler: Emergency lump Removal Surgery
Donation protected
Hi everyone,
I’m reaching out to ask for help raising £400 for emergency surgery for my beloved hamster, Martin Fowler. He’s only a year old, full of life, and means the absolute world to me.
Martin has developed a lump on his testicle, and the vet isn’t sure whether it’s an abscess or a tumour—or whether it’s actually attached to the testicle itself. What we do know is that it needs to be surgically removed as soon as possible. If the lump is attached, Martin will also need to be castrated during the operation.
The vet told me there’s no real choice—without surgery, Martin would need to be put to sleep within a couple of months. With surgery, he could go on to live a happy, healthy life.
Martin is more than just a pet. I’m a university student, far from home, and his companionship has helped me through homesickness, stress, and some really tough times. He’s made my little student house feel like home. He’s my heart hamster and my best friend.
The estimated cost of the surgery is £350. We’ve already spent:
• £127 on antibiotics and anti-inflammatories to keep him comfortable until surgery (below is the receipt for today’s consultation)
• £64 on his first round of antibiotics when the lump was initially found
Anything you can give—no matter how small—will go directly toward Martin’s surgery and recovery. Thank you so much for reading and helping me give him the chance he deserves and to enjoy a few more carrots yet!
With love,
Daisy & Martin Fowler
